SECTION 1.
That all personal property, except live animals , and
perishable property, not owned or claimed by the City of `Wic' ita
Falls , in possession, custody or under control of any City De-
partment, City official or City employee and T:r'iicn shall have
remained unclaimed by the owner thereof for at least sixty days
or on which any fees, charges or penalties claimed by the City
have not been paid by the owner �'or at least sixty days shall be
reported by the Department, official or employee having such
possession, custody or control to the City i:anager of the City
OIL Wichita Falls immediately after the expiration of said period
of sixty days.
Said report shall be undeP oath and shall show:
1st : Mhen (giving the date) and hots said property came
into the possession of such Department , official or employee ;
the name or description, and the estimated value thereof.
2nd: The name and address , if known, of the owner or
claimant- thereof.
3rd: The amount of the cost of storaSe or care of said
property and all other expenses in connection with the keep,
preservation or impounding thereof, including any other fees,
charges or penalties claimed by the City.
SECTION 2.
Upon such report being received by the City 11anager of
the C .ty of Wichita Falls , he may if such property is unclaimed,
or if the cost o storage and care , and all other expenses in
connection -,Vith the keep, preservation or impounding thereof,
including any other fees , charges or penalties claimed by the
City, are not paid, order th�-; same sold, or caused to be sold
by the Chief of Police at public auction, after ten days ' notice
in the official paper of the City, of the date, hour and place/
of sale and of the propertly to be sold; said notice shall be Ju'o-
lished at least tvre times within such ten: day>-peric.d.
SECTION 3.
The Chief of Police shall within five days after such
sale, make report thereof, under oath, to the City Clerk, upon
such forms and blanks as may be prescribed and shall account for
the monies received at such sale in the same manner as is p—e-
scribed for his accounting for all other mo -'ies that may come
