BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER=E1T OF THE CITY OF

SECTION 1.
That Section 77 of Ordinance No . 958, passed and approved
on the 28th day of November, A.D. 1927 , entitled "An ordinance
regulating travel and traffic upon the streets of the City of
Wichita Falls , Texas; regulating the use o " such streets, repeal-
ing all ordinances in conflict herewith and providing penalties ,"
be and the sane is hereby repealed so that hereafter there shall
be no offense known as negli,;ent collision.
SECTION 2.
The fact that the offense of negligent collision as defin-
ed by the traffic ordinance is being used by certain persons not
for the purpose of punishing the offender but for the purpose of
attemtping the collection of asserted claims against persons ,
creates an emergency; and the rule requiring the reading of ordi-
nances on three several days is hereby suspended and this ordi-
nance shall take effect froi-n and after its passage and approval.
