AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1140 PASSED AND
APPROVED BY THE 'BOARD OF ALDERMEN ON THE 9TH DAY QF NOVW.BER, A.D.
1933.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE B OAR D OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
That Ordinance No. 1140 passed and approved by the
Board of Aldermen on the 9th day of November, A. D. 1933, ordering
an election in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to be held on
the 12th day of December, A.D. 1933, for the purpose of submitting
to the qualified voters of the City three propositions : (1) whether
or not such voters are in favor of the City constructing a ditch
around Lake Wichita for the purpose of protecting the water supply
in said lake and borrowing $100,000.00 from the Federal Emergency
Administration of Public Works and issuing obligations against the
waterworks system and the revenues thereof for that purpose; (2)
to determine whether or not such voters are in favor of the City
constructing a ditch connecting
the irrigation system and canal
at Call Field with the irrigation canal east of Holliday Street
in the City of Wichita Fells for the purpose of conserving and pro-
tecting the water in Lake Wichita and borrowing 446,000.00 from
the Emergency Administration of Public Yorks and issuing obliga-
tions against said plant and the revenues thereof for that purpose ;
and (3) to determine whether or not such voters are in favor of
the City constructing a conduit from Lake Wichita to the water plant
for the purpose of protecting and preserving said water as it
flows through thickly settled parts between the lake and the water
plant and borrowing $222,000.00 from the Emergency Administration
of Public Works and issuing obligations against said plant and the
revenues thereof for that purpose; such obligations to be paid
only Prom the revenues of such plant , designating the places at
which said election is to be held, appointing officer thereof , and
declaring an emergency, be and the same is hereby repealed.
