ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A BUDGET TRANSFER OF $38,000
FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT TO THE
PARKS DEPARTMENT FOR A CITY OPERATED MOWING PROGRAM
AND AMENDING THE 2000 -01 BUDGET ACCORDINGLY; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the 2000 -01 budget included $38,000 in the Community
Development Department for a new City- operated mowing program for City -owned
property; and
WHEREAS, at the time of budget development it was uncertain what City
department would be responsible for oversight of the program; and
WHEREAS, it has now been determined that the Parks Department will
administer the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A budget transfer in the amount of $38,000 from the Community
Development Department to the Parks Department is hereby approved for the 2000 -01
fiscal year for costs associated with a new City- operated mowing program.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
