Ord 020-2001 3/6/2001ORDINANCE NO. d' ORDINANCE REZONING 0.68 ACRES OUT OF A PORTION OF BLOCKS 8, 9 & 10, RANCHO VISTA PLACE FROM RESIDENTIAL MIXED USE TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL AND AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended rezoning 0.68 acres out of a portion of Blocks 8, 9 & 10, Rancho Vista Place, from Residential Mixed Use to Light Industrial; And WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission acknowledged that the Land Use Plan was not in conformance with the existing zoning and recommended amending the Land Use Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan, to conform to the existing zoning; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described, and amending the Comprehensive Plan to reflect this change, will be in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, is hereby amended for a tract being a portion of Blocks 8, 9 & 10, Rancho Vista Place, Wichita Falls, Texas. Said property is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A." Said property land use designation shall be changed from Low Density Residential to Light Industrial. This change will bring the land use plan in conformance with the existing zoning. SECTION 2. The property described as being 0.68 acres out of a portion of Blocks 8, 9 & 10, Rancho Vista Place, Wichita Falls, Texas, is hereby zoned Light Industrial. Said property is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A." Said property land use designation shall be changed from Low Density Residential to Light Industrial. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 6th day of March 2001.
