ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE GENERAL
FUND TO AN APPROPRIATE OPERATING ACCOUNT FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR THE
RECONSTRUCTION OF BARNETT ROAD; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on October 20, 1998 the City of Wichita Falls entered into a joint
funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation to improve Barnett
Road between Athletic Road and Lake Shore Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City's share of the total cost of construction requires an
additional payment of $97,994.54.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the general fund budget unit 100-
8230- 76000, the amount of $98,000 for the additional payment to the Texas
Department of Transportation for the Barnett Road Reconstruction Project.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
