Ord 035-2001 4/17/2001ORDINANCE NO. :55= -a0Cf ORDINANCE REVISING THE CHARGE FOR RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE AUTOMATED SERVICE FROM $10.55 PER MONTH TO $9.05 PER MONTH; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has embarked on a program to convert residential curbside collection service from hand collection to automated collection; and WHEREAS, the Sanitation Fund has experienced significant reduction in costs associated with this change; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to pass this cost savings along to the residential curbside service customers who are now or will soon be receiving the automated service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 17 -19. Charges for City Collection - Prescribed; Sub - Paragraph (1) through (8), is hereby revised effective with billings after June 1, 2001, as follows: The rates for gathering and removal of garbage and refuse from all premises within the city shall be calculated on the following basis: Per Month (1) Single- family unit ....................... V0.55 a) Alley Collection $10.55 b) Curbside Automated Collection $ 9.05 (2) One - family unit or single - family unit, without alley entrance, where it is necessary to carry out refuse or garbage for more than ten (10) feet but less than fifty (50) feet from the curb. $22.00 (3) One - family unit or single - family unit, without alley entrance, where it is necessary to carry out refuse or garbage for more than fifty (50) feet but less than one hundred (100) feet from the curb .............................. $27.00 (4) One - family unit or single - family unit, without alley entrance, where it is necessary to carry out the refuse or garbage more than one hun- dred (100) feet from the curb ............. $32.00 (5) Multifamily units on one (1) meter, excluding apartment complexes and mobile home parks, per unit ............................... $10.55 a) Alley Collection $10.55 b) Curbside Automated Collection $ 9.05 (6) Multifamily units on separate meter, excluding apartment complexes and mobile home parks, per unit ...............................
