ORDINANCE REZONING 6 ACRES MORE OR LESS OUT OF BLOCK 9,
ABSTRACT 302, LOCATED NORTH OF JACKSBORO HIGHWAY
ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF JASPER STREET, FROM LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The owners of a tract of land being described as 6 acres more or
less out of Block 9, Abstract 302, located north of Jacksboro Highway along the west
side of Jasper Street, have requested rezoning of their property from Light Industrial to
General Commercial; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has held a public hearing and
issued a final report, reflected in its minutes according to the requirements of Chapter
211.007 of the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described will be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The zoning is hereby amended for a tract of land being described
as 6 acres more or less out of Block 9, Abstract 302, being north of Jacksboro Highway,
along the west side of Jasper Street from Light Industrial to General Commercial. Said
property is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment
"A
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 1st day of May 2001.
