ORDINANCE NO. CQ i
ORDINANCE REZONING 9 ACRES OUT OF BLOCK 3, KEMP AND
NEWBY SUBDIVISION OF THE CHEROKEE COUNTY SCHOOL LANDS
FROM LIGHT INDUSTRIAL TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend rezoning 9 acres
out of Block 3, Kemp and Newby Subdivision of the Cherokee County School Lands
from Light Industrial to General Commercial to be in conformance with the
Comprehensive Land Use Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described will be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The zoning is hereby amended for 9 acres out of Block 3, Kemp
and Newby Subdivision of the Cherokee County School Lands from Light Industrial to
General Commercial. Said property is shown of the attached map, incorporated in this
ordinance as Attachment "A."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
