ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN
SPACE MASTER PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City desires improvements to its parks, recreation programs, and
open space areas; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will assign extra scoring
points to grant applications from cities that have had prior approval by the Department
of a master plan; and
WHEREAS, the Plan has received Texas Parks and Wildlife staff approval and
awaits approval from the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The attached Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan is
hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
