Ord 066-2001 7/17/2001ORDINANCE NO. ',,-00k ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 22- 92(H)(1)(B) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO INCREASE THE FEE FOR EVENING PRACTICE RESERVATION OF THE SOFTBALL COMPLEX AND OTHER LIGHTED PARK BALLFIELDS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the fee for practice reservation of the Softball Complex lighted ballfields is $7.00; and, WHEREAS, this fee level is not meeting the City's cost of ballfield lighting maintenance; and, WHEREAS, it is desirable to increase the fee for such practice reservations at the Softball Complex; and, WHEREAS, it is also desirable to make this fee applicable to all of the City's lighted ballfields that may be reserved for practice use: TESCO, Kiwanis, Jaycee, Jalonick, Bridwell, Scotland, Loch Lomond, Williams, and Spudder Parks. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Section Sec. 22- 92(h)(1)(b) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: "b. Ten dollar ($10.00) charge for evening practices (requiring light use) shall be charged for use of the Softball Complex, and the lighted ballfields in TESCO, Kiwanis, Jaycee, Jalonick, Bridwell, Scotland, Loch Lomond, Williams, and Spudder Parks." SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
