AN ORDINANCE WING IT UNLOFUL FOR ANY PERSON, BY
ANY ACT, SIGN OR SIGNAL, KNOWINGLY TO GIVE A FALSE
ALARM OF FIRE, TO OPEN ANY SIGNAL BOX, EXCEPT IN
CASE OF FIRE OR THE PROBABLE DANGER OF FIDE, OR IN
ANY VJJAY TO TAMPER, MEDDLE OR INTERFERE WITH ANY BOX
OR APPARATUS CONNECTED VvITI1 THE FIRE ALARM TELEGRAPH
SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF ';ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: AND PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY FOR THE, VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF `tV ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
It is hereby declared unlawful for any person or persons to
call by telephone, or by sign, signal or in any way knowingly give a false
alarm of fire, and it is hereby further declared to be unlawful for any
person or persons to open any of the signal boxes, connected with the fire
alarm telegraph system of the City of 6bichita Falls, Texas, for the purpose
of giving an alarm of fire, or to pull the hooks in any of the signal boxes,
except in case of fire or probable danger of fire, or to tamper, meddle or
interfere in any way with said boxes or apparatus, or any part thereof.
SECTION II .
The term "false alarm.", as used in this ordinance, shall jean
any act, sign, cal' or signal of any kind that shall be made for the
purpose of giving an alarm of fire when there is neither a fire nor the
probable danger of a fire.
SECTION III.
Any person miho shall violate any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor, and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be fined in any sum not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars
($200.00)
Section IV.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its passage and publication, as provided by lew.
