CANCELLATION OF LICENSE UPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS,

Section 1. Teat it shall hereafter be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to exhibit or have in his or their place of business any machine
operated by coin, slug or check either for the purpose of operating games of
skill or for amusement, or for vending merchandise or any similar purpose, ex-
except machines operated automatically and exclusively for sale of stamps or
merchandise, unless and until the license herein provided for has been obtained
and the fee herein provided for shall have been paid.
Section 2. The owner or operator of any such machines before same
shall be placed in operation or exhibited in any place of business or other place
in the City of vtirichita Falls, Texas, for operation, shall apply to the Tax Col-
lector for license which shall expire on the 334t of April next following the
issuance thereof, unless terminated as otherwise herein provided., and pay to
Tax Collector the sum of $100.00 per year.
Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation operating such machines,
which said machines are operated for a niekle, before same shall be placed in
operation or exhibited in any place of business or other place in the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, for operation, shall apply to the Tax Collector for a license
which shall expire on the 31st day of April next following the issuance thereof,
unless terminated as otherwise herein provided, and pay to the tax collector the
the sum of $2.00 for each machine to be operated and pay to the tax collector
the further sum of $2.00 per month thereafter, payable on or before the first
of each month following the issuance of said license, for each machine operated
or exhibited as herein set out.
Section 4. Any person, firth or corporation operating such machines,
which said machines are operated for one cent, before same shall be placed in
operation or exhibited in any place of business or other place in the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, for operation, shall apply to the tax collector for a
license which shall expire on the Alt day of April next following the issuance
thereof, unless terminated as otherwise provided, and pay to the tax collector
the su�nl of $0.50(Fifty Cents ) for each machine to be operated and pay to the
tax collector the further sum of $,0.50 (Fifty Cents) per wonth thereafter, pay-
able on or before the first of each month following the issuance of said license
for each machine operated or exhibited as herein set out.
Section S. Failure to pay any sum herein provided on or before the
timeherein set forth shall immediately terminate said license without action,
and any officer of the City of l-tiichita Falls, Texas, duly authorized, as evidence
of termination of said license shall seize any such machine upon which a fee may
be due and unpaid and hold same until the fee shall have been paid. Before any
license sIa11 be re-instated the licensee shall pay the expense of seizing said
machine and all fees in arrears, as herein set out, and the additional sum of
twenty-five per cent of the amount due and unpaid.
Section 6. Any person operating or exhibiting any machine herein des-
cribed which has not been duly licensed and the fees paid as herein provided, or
upon which license has been terminated as herein provided, shall, upon convic-
tion, be deemed guilty of e, misdemeanor and fined in any sum not exceedin6 Fifty
($50.00) Dollars.
