ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A FY
2001 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT IN THE AMOUNT
OF $109,179.00 OF WHICH $98,261.00 ARE FEDERAL MONIES AND
$10,918.00 (10 %) ARE POLICE DEPARTMENT FUNDS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City has been awarded $109,179.00 from the FY 2001 Local
Law Enforcement Block Grant of which $98,261.00 is federal monies and $10,918.00
(10 %) is a cash match coming from Police Department forfeited funds; and
WHEREAS, As required by LLEBG guidelines, an advisory committee made up
of members of the Police Department and community will determine how the grant
proceeds will be spent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept the FY 2001 Local Law
Enforcement Block Grant in the amount of $109,179.00 and such monies shall be
appropriated into the Special Revenue Fund of the City.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
