Section 1. That under and by virtue o"L' authority granted in
House Bill No, 77, designated as "Texas Liquor Control Act, " adopted
by the forty-fourth legislature of the State of Texas at its second
called sessions there be and there are he.,Peby prescribed and levied
annual occupation taxes or license fees upon and there shall be
collected from persons2 firms and corporations carrying on business
within the limits of the ,City of -3ichita Falls as follows :
(a) From the holder of each "Brewers permit" as defined and
required by the terms of the above mentioned act of the legislature
domiciled in the City of Wichita Falls and carrying on business
therein under such Dermit an annual tax or fee of five hundred dollars
for each such permi�.
(b) From the holder of each "Distillers" Permit" as defined
and required by the terms of such act domiciled in the City of
Wichita Falls and carrying on business therein under such permit an
annual tax or fee of five hundred dollars for each such permit.
(c) From the holder of each TiVinery Permit" as defined and re-
quired by the terms of such act domiciled in the City of Wichita Falls
and carrying on business therein under such permit an annual tax or
fee of twenty-five dollars for each such permit. Provided, however$
there is not included herein nor covered hereby the holder of a Class
B. '47inery Permit as defined in such act.
(d) From the holder of each "Rectifierst Permit" as defined
a& required by the terms of such act domiciled in the �,,ity of 't7ichita
Falls and carrying on business therein under such permit an annual
tax or fee of five hundred dollars for eah such permit.
(e) From the holder of each "Wholesalers' Permit as defined
and reauired by the terms of such act domiciled in the City of 'Michita
L
Fells and carry*jng on business therein under such permit an annual
tax or fee of six hundred and twenty-five dollars for each such permit.
(f) From the holder of each "Beer and ',V'ine .01holesalers ' Permit"
as defined and required by the terms of such act domiciled in the City
of dichita Falls and carrying on business therein under such permit an
annual tax or fee of fifty dollars for each such permit.
(g) From the holder of each "Package Etore Permit" as defined
and required by the terms of such act domiciled in the City of 'dichita
Falls and carrying on business therein under such permit an annual tax
or fee of eighty-seven and 50/100 dollars . Provided that the annual
tax or fee from the holder of a Package Store Permit to sell wine only
shall be six and 25/100 dollars for each permit.
Section 2. All taxes or fees prescribed by Section 1 hereon
shall be paid in advance for one year unless such tax or fee be col-
lected for only a portion of the year. In such event the fee required
shall cover the period of time from -the date of the permit to midnight
of Lugust 31st next succeeding and only the proportionate -oart of the
fee or tax levied for such permit shall be collected. The fractional
part of any month remaining shall be counted as one month in calculating
the fee thr,,t shall be due.
Section 3. Upon the paynent of the anplicable tax or fee he-;ein
Drescribed to the Tax Assessor and Collector and exhibition to him of a
permit duly issued by the State of Texas to the a--)plicant or person
paying such tax or fees the tax assessor and collector shall in the
name of the -,i-ty of dichita 1-1alls issue, and deliver to such applicant
or -person a permit to engage in business in the i-lity of `4 i-.hita Falls
of the --haracter described in cnd authorized by the permit from the
Etate of Texas held by such appli,,,-;ant or person and the permit so issued
in the name of tle ity of Aichita ]Walls shall authorize the conduct of
such business upon the premises described in the permit from the State
of Texas and shall remaih in -Lorce only so long as such permit from the
State of Texas remains in -force.
Section 4.
