AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 87 -2001, DECLARING A
DISASTER EMERGENCY IN THE CITY; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on September 12, 2001, the City Council enacted Ordinance No.
87 -2001, declaring a state of disaster emergency because of the terrorist attacks in
New York City, Washington, D.C. and other areas of the United States of America on
September 11, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the disruption of the local free competitive market for the purchase
or sale of goods and services described in Ordinance 87 -2001 no longer exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 87 -2001, enacted by the City Council on September
12, 2001, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
