ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING THE $100.00 PERMIT FEE FOR A
PYROTECHNICS DISPLAY, AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 50 -97 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, FOR FALLS FEST IN LUCY PARK ON
SEPTEMBER 28 -29, 2001; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Falls Fest is an annual event held in Lucy Park, sponsored by the
City of Wichita Falls, the Junior League, and Streams and Valleys; and,
WHEREAS, the event sponsors request a waiver of the $100.00 permit fee for a
pyrotechnics display as required by Section 50 -97 of the Code of Ordinances; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that this waiver is of benefit to the
overall success of this charitable event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The $100.00 permit fee for a pyrotechnics display, as required by
Section 50 -97 of the Code of Ordinances, is hereby waived for Falls Fest in Lucy Park
on September 28 -29, 2001.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
