ORDINANCE REZONING 4001 AND 4003 GOSSETT DRIVE FROM
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL AND GENERAL COMMERCIAL TO
LIMITED COMMERICAL ZONING AND AMENDING THE LAND USE
PLAN FOR THOSE PROPERTIES; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council recommended rezoning 4001 and 4003 Gossett
Drive from Single Family Residential and General Commercial to Limited Commercial
zoning; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described, and amending the Comprehensive
Plan to reflect this change, will be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for 4001
Gossett Drive, being the northwest 50 x 175 feet of Block 9, Faith Village Unit 1, and
4003 Gossett Drive, Lot 1, Block 13, White Acres Subdivision, as shown on the
attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A." Said property
designations for both properties shall be changed to Light Commercial.
SECTION 2. The property described as 4001 Gossett Drive, being the northwest
50 x 175 feet of Block 9, Faith Village Unit 1, as shown on the attached map,
incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "B," is hereby rezoned from General
Commercial to Limited Commercial.
SECTION 3. The property described as 4003 Gossett Drive, Lot 1, Block 13,
White Acres Subdivision, as shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance
as Attachment "B," is hereby rezoned from Single Family -2 to Limited Commercial.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
