ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SECTION 82 -63 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO PERMIT SIGNS IN INDIAN HEIGHTS PARK DURING
AN EVENT BY THE WICHITA COUNTY HERITAGE SOCIETY ON
APRIL 6 AND 27, 2002; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita County Heritage Society desires to conduct an historic
home tour in the area around Indian Heights Park on April 6 and 27, 2002; and
WHEREAS, in order to make their event more successful, the Heritage Society
requests permission to place signs and portable restrooms at Indian Heights Park; and
WHEREAS, a similar event was successfully conducted in the spring using the
street triangle at Buchanan and 10th Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 82 -63 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to permit
signs in Indian Heights Park during an event by the Wichita County Heritage Society on
April 6 and 27, 2002.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
