JIF MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED, AND TFIE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PART
OF THE ALLEY FROM THE EAST BOUNDARY LITE OF VIRGINIA STREET EAST 'TO
THE 'NEST BOUNDARY LINE OF HIGHWAY NO. 5, AND ACROSS LOTS FOURTEEN AND
THIRTEEN IN BLOCK TWELVE TO THE �IMST BO=ARY LINE OF HIGEWAY NO. 5,
AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED.
Whereas, a portion of Blocks Twelve (12 ) and Thirteen (13)
of the J. A. Kenp Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has
been acquired by the State of' Texas, as a part of the right-of-way
for the construction of Highway No. b and it is desired by the State
of Texas that said Fort Worth Street running between said Blocks
twelve H2) and thirteen (13) from Virginia Street to the West bound-
ary line ol' Highway No. b, and the alley between lots Twelve (12) and
Thirteen (13) from the East boundary line of VirLjnia Street to the
West bounuary line of Hi6tway No. 0, be c1csed and abandoned in order
that said plot may be converted into a park as a part of said Highway
system by the Highway Department of the State of Texas.
Whereas, the BoarcL of Aldermen after an inspection and
investigation of the closing of said portion of Fort Worth Street
and the alley deems it for the oest interest of all concerned that
said portion of this street and the alley be closed and abandoned
and that the rights of the public will not be affected.
NO'W1 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERL2N
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I. That that portion of Fort Worth Street and the
alley to be closed and abandoned is described as follows, to-wit:
STREET
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Block
13� J. A. Kemp Addition, and the East line
of Virginia Street ; Thence East along the
North line of said Block 13 to the inter-
section of the right-of-way of Highway No. b;
Thence along the riE�it-of-way of Highway No. b
in a Northwesterly direction to the South line
of Block No. 12; Thence West along the South
line of Block No. 12 to its Southwest corner
and the East line of Virginia Street ; Thence
South along the East line of Virginia Street
to the Northwest corner of Block 13 to the
place of beginning.
ALLEY
BEGINN,ING in the East boundary line of VirEinia
Street ; Thence East across lots 13 and 14 in
Block 12 to the 'V'iest boundary line of State Hioa-
way No. b; Thence in a Northwesterly direction to
the North boundary line of said alley; Thence West
parallel 'with the South boundary line of said alley
to the East boundary line of' Virginia Street ; Thence
South to the place of beginning.
This ordinance is passed at the request of the State High-
way Commission for the purpose of closing the above portion of Fort
Worth Street in order that the portion of Blocks 12 and 13 of the
J. A. Kemp Addition, owned by the State Highway Department may be
improved as a park site and portion of the State Highway No. b in
the City of 'ijYichita Falls, and it is so ordered.

NOW, TFEREFOM, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD QF ALDEPJvIEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS :

inafter aescribed, oe, and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
The portion of said Fort Worth Street desired to be closed and aban-
donea being more particularly aescribed as follows , to-wit :
BEGINNING AT THE Northwest corner of Block
1;52 J. A. Kemp Addition, and in the East
line or VirEinia Street ; Thence East along
the North line or said Block 13 to the inter-
section of the right-of-way of Highway No. b;
Thence along the right-of-way of Highway No . �D
in a i�orthwesterly direction to the South line
of Block No. 12; Thence West along the South
line of Block No. 12 to its Southwest corner
and the East line or Virginia Street; Thence
South along the East line of Virginia Street
to the Northwest corner of Block 13 to the place
of beginning.
This ordinance is passed at the request of the State Higi-

Fort Worth Street in orcter that the portion of Blocks 12 and 13
of the J. A. Kemp Addition, owned by the State Highway Depert-
