AN ORDINANCE CLOSING &TD AEANDONING THAT PORTION OF CAROLINE STREET
ADJACENT TO AND SEPARATING BLOCKS FORTY-NINE AND SIXTY OF THE ORI-
GINAL TO1111,13ITE OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, FROM THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE
OF SCOTT STREET TO THE WEST ILOUNDARY LINE OF THE FORT WORTH & DENVER
CITY RAILWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY; SAID PORTION OF CAROLINE STREET BEING MORE
PARTICULARLY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, A�M THE CLOSING IAND ABANDONING
THAT PART OF THE' ALLEY RUNFING THROiGH BLOCKS FORTY-NINE AND SIXTY
AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED.
Whereas, the Board of Aldermen after an inspection and
investigation of the closing of said portion of Caroline Street
and a portion Of the alley running through blocks forty-nine and
sixty from the South side of Washington Street to the North side
of Lincoln Street , deems it for the best interest of all concerned
that said portion of this street and alley be closed and abandoned,
and that the riE�its of the public will not be affected.
NOW$ TIMREFORE� BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF li'v"ICHITA. FALL9 , TEXAS :
SECTION I. That that portion of Caroline Street and the
portion of the alley to be closed and abandoned is described as
follows, to-wit :
STREET
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Block
49 and in the East boundary line of Scott
Street ; Thence along the South boundary line

of Block 49 and passing the Northeast corner
of same to the Fort Worth & Denver City Rail-
way Company' s West boundary line of its right-
of-way; Thence in a Southeasterly direction
along said right-of-way to the intersection of
the South boundary line of Caroline Street ;
Thence West to the Northwest corner of block 60;
Thence along the West boundary line of Block 60
to its Southwest corner and to the East boundary
line of Scott Street ; Thence North parallel with
the East boundary line of Scott Street to the
place of beginning .
ALLEY
BEGINNING with the intersection of the alley
in Block 49 at the South side of Washington
Street ; Thence through blocks 49 and 60 to
where said alley intersects the North side
of Lincoln Street .
This ordinance is passed for the purpose of relieving the
City of Wichita Falls from any further expense and liability for the
maintainence and up-keep of that portion of Caroline Street closed
and abandoned.
