AN ORDINIJ�TCE APPOINTING THE PLTJIErmc� IN3pEc,�-OR OF THE CITY OF V47CHITA FALLS TO MAKE INSPECTIONS UIME'R THE REGULATIONS OF THE NATIONAL BOARD OF FIRE UNDEEWPITEiRS AND THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION OF ALL CONTAINERS MANUFACTI-TIFED IN 'iHE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS TO BE USED FOR THE STORAGE OF AND//OR THE TRAJjSPORTATION OF LIqUEFIED PETROLE-UM GASE=0,7TER,1HE HIGH11irfS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS ; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY Ii !- Zij"AAY PRESCRIBE FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR SUCH INSPECTIONS, AND DECLARING AN Fj�DER,,_r!d�TCy. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: Section I. That the Plumbing Inspector of the City of Wichita Failss be, and he is hereby authorized and it is made his duty to make inspections of the hereinafter described containers upon the request, of the manufacturers of same. Such inspections shall be made under the regulations of the Ncitional Board of Fire Underwriters and/or National Board Of Fire Underwriters and National Fire Protective Associations such Containers beinf, as follows : (a) All containers and pertinent equipment installed for use in this State for the storage and, dispensing Of liquefied petro- leum gases for the Purpose of -providing gas for industrial jco=ercial and domestic uses . (b) All containers to be used for the transportation of liquefied petroleum gases over the highways of the State of Texas . city Section II. That the Falls of the City of Wichita s__atrth0-r1zed- and-it- i e.-Cl ared h±z--dtt*y__*0 fix charges to be made for such inspections by the -Plumbing Inspector; such charges to be reasonable, and,.."W is to take into consideration the time employed by the said'Plum�ing Inspector in making such inspections. Section III. The fact that under the Provisions of House Bill No. lol7, Acts Of the 4bth Legislature, Regular Session, signed by the Go vernor on May 17, 1937 , that it is necessary that inspections be made Of all containers and pertinent equipment installed for use in this State for the atclage and dispensing of liquefied Petroleum gases for the Purpose of providing gas for industrial, commercial and domes- tic uses and/or use for the transportation Of liquefied petroleum gases over the highways of the State of Texas, and the further fact that the National Board of Fire Underwriters are unable to furnish inspectors for such mrk and the manufacturers Of such equipment in the City of Wichita Falls are unable to dispose Of such containers before same are inspected and approved by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, creates an emergency and the provision of the City Charter providing ordinances to be read on three several days , is hereby suspended and this orainance shall take effect from and after its Passage and approval. 1937.
