AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF MORROW
STREET FROM ITS INTERSECTION �jTTH ARDATF AVENUE TO ITS INTERSECTION
WITH VAN BUREN STREET AND ADJACEKIT TO AND LYINI NORTH AND WEST OF
BLOCK NO. THREE (3) OF THE HARRISON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, SAID PORTION OF MORROW STREET BETNI MORE PARTTCULARLY
HUETFAFTER DESCRTBED, AND DECLARTNIT AN EMERqENCY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen doom it for the best interest of
all concerned that that portion of Morrow Street hereinafter described be
closed and abandoned after an inspection and investl.-ation and that the
closing and abandoning of said nortion of said street will not in any way
effect any property adjacent thereto and will be to the benefit of the
public in general; and,
WHEREAS, all of tine rronerty effected by the closing and abandon-
ing of said portion of Morrow Street belongs to A C Realty Company, Inc.,
to which closing and abandoning of said nortion of said street the said
A C Realtv Company, Inc. has agreed; and,
WHEREAS, it is for the benefit of the public that such portion of
said street be closed, vacated and abandoned.
NOW, ThEREFORE, BE TT ORTAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION ONE: That the following described portion of Morrow Street
lying and being situated in the City of Wichita Falls, in Wichita County,
Texas, be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned:
BEGTNNTNG at the Northeast corner of Block No. Three
(3) of the Harrison Addition to the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, accordin- to ti-)e recorded plat thereof in the office
of the Countv Clark of Wichita County, Texas, to which re-
ference is h,7re T.wde for all purposes, stake for corner,
which is the Southwest p-oint of tT!e intersection of Morrow
Street a� d Van Buren Street in said city; Therce North a-
lonT the West Boundary Line of Van Buren Street 40 feet,
stake for corner, which is the Northwest point of the inter-
section of Morrow Street and Van Buren Street in said city;
Thence in a Southwesterly direction, along the North or
Northwesterly Boundary Line of Morrow Street to the inter-
section of same with Ardath Avenue, stake for corner which
is the West point of the intersection of Morrow Street and
Ardath Avenue; Thence East along, the North Boundary Line of
Ardath Avenue to the West corner of said Block No. Three (3),
Harrison Addition; Then,�!e in a Northeasterly lirection along
the South or Southeasterly Boundary Line of Morrow Street
ana alon- the North or Northwesterly Boundary Line of said
Block No. Three (3) , Harrison Addition, to the place of be-
ginning.

This ordinance is passed for the purpose of relievin,, the City of
Wichita Falls from any further expense and liability for the m"aintenance and
upkeep of that nortion of Morrow Street above described.
SEC71ON TWO: The fact that funds are now available from thq Works
Pro-ress Administration of the United States lovernment for the paVing of
the North One-Falf (1/2) of Ardath Avenue adjacent to Block No. Three (3)
in Harrison Addition to the City Of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the fact that
such funds may be at any time withdrawn for such navin- and the fact that
it will be to the benefit of the nublic and of the City of Wichita Falls
to pave the said North One-Half (1/2) of said Ardath Avenue and the fact
that the owner of snid Block No. Three (3) does not desire to Dave the
said One-Half (1/2) of Ardath Avenue unless that portion of Morrow Street
above described is closed and abandoned by the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
creates an emergency and a public necessity that the rule requiring all
ordinances to be read on three several days and nassed on three sevoeral
readings by the Board of Aldermen be suspended,and such rule is suspended
and this ordinance shall take effeot and be in full force from and after
its Dassage, and it is so ordered.
