Whereast the Board of Aldermen, after an inspection and investi-
gation of the closing of said portion of the DUssissippi and Swartz
Streets deem it for the best interest of all concerned that said por-
tion of these streets be closed and abandoned� and that the right and
interest of the public will not be affected.

Streets hereinafter described be and the sane are hereby closed and
abandoned; that the portion of said mississippi and Swartz Streets
desired to be closed and abondoned being more particularly described
as followsp to-wit:
That portion of MississiPPi Street extend-
ing from its intersection of Chester Street to
Swartz Street, and being that street lying be-
tyreen the unplatted properties of the Texas
Electric Service Company and Lots 6 and 7,
Block 3, of the South Park Addition to the City
of �Uchita Falls.? Texas.
Also Swartz Street, being that street ex-
tending from Virginia Avenue to the Unplatted
lands of the City of Wichita Falls Water 701orks.,
and lying between Blocks 3 and 4 of South Park
Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texaso
from the West line of State Highway #66 to the
P,Iest line of 11ississippi Street.
This Ordinance is passed for the purpose of relieving the City
of 10dchita Falls from any further expense and liability for the maintainance
and up keep of 11ississippi and Swartz Streets above described and hereby
closed and abandoned, and for the further purpose of better serving the
property owners of adjoining property.

OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, THYL-LS:
The Texas Electric Service Company, a corporation, re-
spectfully requests an ordinance to vacate, abandon, and
close the following streets and alleys in the City of
Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, namely:
That portion of Mississippi Street extend-
ing from its intersection of Chester Street to
Swartz Street, and being that street lying be-
tween the unplatted properties of the Texas
Electric Service Company and Lots 6 and 7,
Block 3, of the 6outh Park Addition to the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Also Swartz Street, being that street ex-
tending from Virginia -venue to the unplatted
lands of the Uity of Wichita Falls water-works,
and lying between Blocks 3 and 4 of South Park
Addition to the Uity of Wichita Falls Texas,
from the VVest line of State Highway #4 to the
West line of Mississippi Street.
Your petitioner represents that the portion of these
streets requested to be closed has never been graded or
used in any way by the public; that they are both dead-
end street and your applicant owns all of the lots and un-
platted property adjacent to said streets, except that por-
tion of the unplatted property belonging to the City of
Wichita Falls water-works system, and no one else is in-
terested in the use of said streets.
A map and plat, delineated in red that portion of the
streets sought to be closed, is attached hereto, marked Ex-
hibit "All' and made a part hereof.
VvHEREFORE, your petitioner prays for an ordinace clos-
ing and abandoning said streets pemaanently.
