That Section 1 of Ordinance 841, passed and ,approved on Nove�raber 8,
1926 entitled "An Ordinance providing for a tax on dogs, providinr, for vaccin-
ation of do-,s a-,Tainst rabies by a licensed veterinarian as a condition precedent
to the issuance of such license t--i,-; the fees to be charged for such vaccination
and providing for the collection of said tax, and providing a penalty� repealing
Ordinances NOS. 396 and 589 and all other Ordinances in conflict here-with;11 said
Section also being known as Section 3-1011 Codification of Ordinances of the
City of 1,7ichita Fal Is, Texas, lg/+l, be and the saLle is hereby amended so as to
here,-ifter read as follows:
SECTION 3-101: There is hereby levied and assessed upon-each dog
kept or owned within the City of Falls, Texas, an annual tax of One
(�1.00) Dollar on each male dog and spayed female dog., and Two (�2.00) Dollars
C, on the ist day
on each unspayed female dog, which tax is to be due and payable
of January of each year and it is hereby made the duty of the owner or keeper
of any dog., male or female, to pay over to the uhief of Police or his duly
authorized agen�j the said tax on or before the ist day of January of each
year.
SH�CTION 2.
The fact that many dogs are now rurmin-, at large in the City of
117ichita Falls.9 Texas.? and that the keepers and owners of such dogs have
'ded., and further that the tax
failed and refused to pay the tax now provi
now rovided is inadequate� creates an emen-ency, and the rule requiring the

reading of Ordinances on three several days is hereby suspended,, and this
Ordinance shall take effect imiediatel u on its passage and approval and
publication, as required by law.
