SECTION 1.
That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 934, passed and approved on
the 12th day Of September, A.D. 1927 and entitled "An Ordinance
regulating the business Of Junk dealers and dealers in secondhand
goods, and Providing a penaltZ for the failure to comply with the
provisions of this Ordinance; t said Section also being known as
Section 6-601 of Codification Of Ordinances of the City Of Wichita
Falls, Texas, 1941, be and the same is hereby amended so as to
hereafter read as follows, to-wit:
"Section 6-601: Every Junk dealer or keeper of a junk shop
or deale - in secondhand 600ds, or the keeper of a Place where sec-
ondhand goods are held and offered for sale, shall keep at his
place of business a register in which he shall keep in writing a
minute description of all Property taken, received, held, offered
for sale Or Purchased by him, together with the time and the name
and place Of residence (giving street number, if within the city)
of the person or persons from whom said Property is takenp receiv-
ed, Or for whom same is held or Purchased, together with the si6-
nature Of such person, which register shall be kept clean and legi-
ble. He shall make entry within one hour after he has taken, re-
ceived or purchased said Property. Said dealer shall not dispose
of any such property so taken, received, held Or Purchased by him
within seventy-two hours after it is received, so that same may be
inspected by the Police Of said city. Every entry shall be make in
ink and shall not in any manner be obliterated or erased.
It shall be the further duty of such junk dealer or keeper
Of a junk shop or dealer in secondhand goods or the keeper Of a
Place where secondhand goods are held and offered for sale, to make
out and deliver to the Chief of Police every day before the hour of
12 noon a legible and correct copy of the register of personal prop-
erty taken, received, held or Purchased during the preceding day,
together with the time when taken, received Or Purchased and a de-
scriPtiOn of the person or persons from whom the same were taken
received or purchased. Providing that no Junk dealer or keeper of
a junk shop or dealer in secondhand goods shall be required to fur-
nish such description of household goods Purchased from persons at
their residences Or of any property Purchased from Persons having
an estabiished Place of business in said city Or goods sold at ub-
lie sale, but such 60ods must be accom p
panied by a bill of sale or
other evidence Of open and legitimate Purchase and must be shown to

SECTION 2.
The fact that present Ordinances of the city do not require
dealers in secondhand 600ds to keep a register showing goods left with
