That there is hereby levied and there shall be assessed and

�Jichita Falls, Texas, and to Provide Interest and Sinking Fund for the
fiscal year nineteen hundred 1"orty-three and nineteen hundred forty-four,
appn all property, real., personall and m3-xed,, within the corporate limits
of said City subject to taxation a tax of One Dollar and Fifty Cents (�1.50)
on each One Hundred Dollars (aOO)"00), assessed valuation of property, said
tax being so levied and apportioned to the specific purposes herein set forth:
(a) For the maintenance and support of the general government
including current expenses and for general :Laprovements of
said Gity and its property, Ic-novin as the General Fund

(b) For the purpose of lavinl- out, opening,, constructing, repair-
ing and improving the roads, brid-es, and streets within the

of all taxable property, and
(c) For current expenses in maintaining, improving and beautifying
public parks and cemeteries and maintaining, improvino public
play�grounds, known as the Park Fund, ten cents (10o) on- each
One Hundred Dollars (`�100.00) assessed valuation of all
taxable property, and
(d) For current expenses for the purpose of establishing, providing,
maintail-tinS and operating a pLf,)Iic library, or libraries within
said City, knovin as the library Fund,, three cents (3�) on each
One Hundred Dollars (4`100.00) assessed valuation of all
taxable property, and
(e) For the purpose of payin,,-, intl�reSt and principal for the
redemption of bonds therefore legally issued by the said City.,
known as the Interest and Sinking Fundl sixLy-two cents (62�)
on each One Hun�,red Dollars (�100.00) assessed valuation of
all taxable property.
SLCTIQ�T
There is hereby levied and there shall be collected from every
person, firm, association, or corporation pursuing any occupzation taxed by the
General Laws of the State of Texas, an arnua-al occupation tax equal in each
instance to one-half of the State Occupation tax, which said taxes shall be
paid annually -in advance except where otherwise provided by the State Lavis,
in which event the same may be paid as is provided by the State Law.
SECTION 3.
All monies collected under this ordinance for the specific items
herein named, be and the same are hereby appropriated and set apart for the
specific purpose indicated in each iten.q., and that the Assessor and Collector
of taxes 14
., the 'jity Treasurer and the "ity Cl��rk shall keep these accountS so
as to readily and distinctly show the amount collected., the amounts e4ended
and the amount on hand at any time, belonginE to such funds, it is hereby made
the duty of the Tax -ssessor and Collector of Taxes and every person collecting
money for the City of 'iqlchita Falls., Texas, to deliver to the City Treasurer and
the City Clerk at the time of depositing any monies, a stat-ement showing to what
fund such deposit should be made and froi-a -what source received. All r�3ceipts
for the City not specifically apportioned by this ordinance or any other existing
ordinance are hereby made pa,,,rable to the General Fund of the City.
SECTION 4. That this ordnance shell take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
