That in all other respects said Ordinance No. 1179, also known as Ohapter 9, Art. 1, of Title 7 of the Codification of Ordinances of the City of 14lalls, Texas , 1941, shall be and remain in full force a-nd effect according to its terms and conditions. That the Southwestern Beil Telephone Company shall ha.vc 31 days from and after the passage an(9 approval o:' this amend- ing; Ordinance to file its written acceptance thereof with the City Clerk and upon such acceptance bein8 filed, this Ordinance shall effectuate and :Hake binding; the abreement provided for by its terms and shall be in effect as in the Charter of the city provided. SECTION 4. The fact that triis Ordinance is passed as a compromise measure and in settlement of controversy between the city and the telephone company and it is the desire of both parties that the same become effective as soon as possible, creates an emergency, and the rule requirinL the readinb of Ordinances on three separate days are hereby dispensed with and this Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage anal approval by the Board of aldermen and. its acceptance by the telephone company. 1945.
