has filed a Petition with the Board of .',ldermen of the Cit� of
1,.,Iichita Falls, Texas, requesting the closing andabandonmen of
the portion of Banijise Street in I richita Falls, Texas which lies
east of Virginia Street, and the Board of Aldermen after consi-
deration of the said Petition and finding all of the property
which will be served by that portion of Barwise Street sought to
be closed and abandoned belongs to the petitioners and deem it to
the best interest of said property owners that the street be
closed and abandoned, and that the closing of the street would
not affect the rights of the public in any manner;

men of the City of I",'ichita Falls, Texas:

That portion of Barwise Street lying east of Virginia
Street described as follows:

Barwise and Jalonic Addition; THENCE North with the
East line of Virginia Street to the South line of
Block " of the 'aranger and Ballow addition to the City
of 1''lichita Falls , Texas; THEENCE East wit.'a the North
line of Barwise Street to the intersection of Barwise
Street with the property owned by the 1,,1ssouri-.1nansas-
Texas Railroad Company; ThEh CE in a Southeasterly di-
rection with the 'crest boundary line of the property
owned by theJ issouri-Lansas-Texas Railroad Company
to the intersection of the North line of Block 3 of
the Barwise and TEdanic Addition; THE h 0 E 1'"est with
the West line of Block-3 of the Barwise and Jalonic
Addition to the Northwest corner of Block 3, the point
of the beginning,
is hereby closed and abandoned.

This Ordinance is passed for the purpose of assisting
the property owners who own the property on each side of Barwise
Street, as above described, to secure the better use of their
property and for the purpose of relieving the City of 1`91ichita
Falls of any further expense and liability for the maintenance
and upkeep of Barwise Street lying east of Virginia Street, and
such street is hereby closed tLnd 2bandoned.

Dear Mr. Fairtrace :
This will confirm our verbal conversation in
which I stated to you that the Wichita Falls Railway
Company and the Missouri-Kansas-Texas of Texas conveyed
Lots 4 and 5 in Block 3 of the Ba.rwise and Jalonick
Addition to the City of Wichita, Falls on July 27, 1945.
This instrument was executed by both of the
Railway Companies; it was delivered to the Wichita Falls
Foundry & Machine Company on August 1, 1945 and was
filed of record in the Deed Records of Wichita County,
Texas on August 2, 1945.
Please make notation to this effect so the
City Council may pass the ordinance which has been pend-
ing before them for sometime.

majority, if not all, of the street, provided the street is- closed.
