BE IT ORDAINS BY THE BOARD OF ALDER",EN OF THE CITY OF V)ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby levied and there shall be assessed and collected for the use and support of the municipal government of the City of !"ichita Falls, Texas, and to provide Interest and Sinking Fund for the fiscal year nineteen hundred forty-five and nineteen hundred forty-six, upon all property, real, personal and mixed, within the corporate limits of said City subject to taxation, a tax of One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) on each One hundred Dollars 4100.00) assessed valuation of property, said tax being so levied and apportioned to the specific purposes herein set forth: (a) For the maintenance and support of the general government including current expenses and for general improvements of said City and its property, known as the General Fund, sixty cents (600) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation of all taxable propert;--, and (b) For the purpose of laying out, operdrig, constructing, repairing and improving the roads, bridges, end streets within the limits of said City, knotirn as the Street Fund, fifteen cents (150) on each One Hundred Dollars 0100.00) assessed valuation of all taxable property, and (c) For current expenses in maintaining, improving and beauti- fying public parks and cemeteries and maintaining, improv- ing public playgrounds, known as the Park Fund, ten cents (100) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation of all taxable property, and (d) For current expenses for the purpose of establishing, providing; maintaining and operating a public library, or libraries within said City, known as the Library Fund, three cents (3r) on each One Hundred Dollars (.iiC0.00) assessed valuation of all taxable property, and (e) For the purpose of paying interest and principal for the redemption of bonds therefor legally issued by the said City, known as the Interest and Sinking Fund, sixty-two cents (62¢) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation of all taxable property. SECTION 2. There is hereby levied and there shall be collected from every person, firm, association or corporation pursuing any occupation taxed by the General Laws of the State of Texas, an annual occupation tax equal in each instance to one-half of the State Occupation tax, which said taxes shall be paid annually in advance except where otherwise provided by the State Laws, in which event the same may be paid as is provided by the State Law. SECTION 3. All monies collected under this ordinance for the specific items herein named, be and the same are hereby appropriated and set apart for the specific purpose indicated in each item, and that the Assessor and Collector of taxes, the City Treasurer and the City Clerk shall keep these accounts so as to readily and distinctly show the amount collected, the amounts expended and the amount on hand at any time, belong- ing to such funds, it is hereby made the duty of the Tax Assessor and Col- lector of Taxes and every person collecting money for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to deliver to the City Treasurer and the City Clerk at the time of depositing any monies, a statement showing to what fund such deposit should be made and from what source received. All receipts for the City not specifically apportioned by this ordinance or any other existing ordinance are hereby made payable to the General Fund of the City. SECTION 4.
