BE IT ORDAIN]LD L'Y THE BOARD OF ALDERiviltil`r OF THE CITY OF 'aIChITA FALLS , TE AS: SECTION 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1367 passed and approved by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls , Texas, on August 17, 1943, ( amending Section 6-1512 of the Codification of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas , 1941) be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows, to-wit : Section 6-1512: No person shall be issued a chauff eur's license to drive a taxicab or automobile for hire, except drivers of buses on regularly established bus lines,unless said persons shall have resided in Precinct 1, 4ichita County, Texas, as defined and described by the Commissioner's Court of Wichita County, Texas , for at least six months consecutively next preceding the filing by said person of an application for a chauffeur' s license. SECTION 2 : All Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed insofar as the same will con- flict with the provisions of this ordinance only. SECTION 3: In case any section, sentence, paragraph, or part of this ordinance, shall for any reason be adjudged by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance. SECTION 4 : The fact that the City is growing rapidly, and many people who work in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas , must find living space outside the territorial confines of the City limits of said City, creates an emergency and imperative public necessity, and the rule requiring the reading of Ordinances on three separate days is hereby suspended, and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
