I see no objection to the closing of 21st Street and
Burnett Street as outlined on the attached map in the request
of the Texas Electric Service Company.
In the next to last paragraph of the ordinance no
mention is made of damages which might arise from the operation
and maintenance of any water lines which may exist in these
streets. I think such a clause should be inserted.

The fact that such closed streets will beco pie a part of
the Texas :electric Service Compan-T Power plant Yard, and an imper-
ative necessity exists for the enlar"ement and improvement of said
plant and the use of suchl. abandoned streets for said utilities, and
for the further reason that Said abandoned portions of said streets
are not useful or necessar,; for public use, and that the abandoned
rortions of said streets and alleys are not being used by the pub-
