BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALD'ERn1�,N OF THE CITY OF VVICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, is hereby designated and appointed as custodian of
the Memorial Auditorium, grounds and building belonging to the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas.
SECTION 2: That said custodian is hereby authorized to appoint
and employ such agents, servants and employees as in his judgment
may be necessary to aid or assist him in carrying out his duties
as such custodian.
SECTION 3: That the custodian is hereby authorized, and it
is made his special duty to advise and manage such Memorial
Auditorium, building and grounds, and he is hereby given
complete authority and shall be responsible for the renting
of the auditorium in said building and/or grounds surrounding the
same, and collecting the rent therefor according to the following
schedule:

11. That all Lessees who shall hereafter lease the Memorial
Auditorium for the purpose of bringing road shows to Wichita Falls,
Texas, for six or more times during any fiscal year, shall be given
a special rate of �200.00 per show for all road shows brought
to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, providing a lease is executed
and paid for in advance.
12. For any use not mentioned herein, the rates shall be
fixed by the custodian of said Memorial Auditorium and grounds.
13. In addition to the foregoing set rates, the City Manager
shall have the right to make a reasonable charge for extra services
including police, fire, stage nand labor and janitor services,
and is hereby authorized to contract with any lessee with regard
to such services.
SECTION 4: All the rental contracts for said auditorium and/or
grounds shall be made through the custodian's office and a public
record thereof shall be kept in a book provided in said off ice,
which record shall show the name of the lessee, the date of the
execution of such lease the use for which the auditorium and/or
grounds are to be used and the date or day of such use. The
persons renting or leasing said auditorium shall be required to
deposit with the custodian 5Qj (per centum) of the schedule
charge, and all persons leasing the auditorium grounds all of the
schedule charge at the time said property is leased for the time
either is to be used for any particular date or day, and the
balance of such rental shall be paid before the auditorium is
used. In the event such lease contract i.s cancelled by the lessee,
the portion of the rental charge paid. upon the execution of said
lease shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages.
SECTION 5: That all funds collected by the custodian as
rental on the City Auditorium and/or grounds, shall be deposited
with the City Clerk, who shall place the same in the general fund
of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas.
SH;CTION 6: All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
The fact that the present rates being charged for the use
of the Memorial Auditorium are insufficient to properly take
care of the expenses in connection with the use of said auditorium
creates an emergency; and the rules requiring the reading of the
Ordinances on three several days is hereby suspended, and this
Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
