ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,226 FROM THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR THE WEST NILE VIRUS GRANT;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through the
Texas Department of Health has provided grant revenue for the prevention of West Nile
virus in the amount of $1,226; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to accept this funding on behalf of
the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District; and,
WHEREAS, this funding could not have been anticipated prior to adoption of the
2002 -2003 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Special Revunue Fund $1,226
in grant revenue for West Nile virus perevention activities.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
