ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE GENERAL
FUND FOR ADDITIONAL GRANT REVENUE FROM THE CRIMINAL
JUSTICE DIVISION, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, STATE OF TEXAS,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT
ACCEPTING SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received approval for grant funds from
the Criminal Justice Division, Office of the Governor, State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, said grant funds will be used to continue the Fourteenth year
funding of the North Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force; and,
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2002 -2003 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund
$572,166.00 for the North Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force Grant, and
the City Manager is authorized to enter into contract with the Criminal Justice Division,
Office of the Governor, State of Texas.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
