ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, WAIVING SECTION 86 -32 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO
ALLOW A LIBRARY BOARD MEMBER TO COMPLETE TERM OF SERVICE;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, Section 86 -32 of the Code of Ordinances allows members to hold
office for no more than two consecutive terms; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Patsy Klein was appointed July 1996 to serve on the Library
Board and reappointed June 1999 and July 2002; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Klein met the term limit on this board July 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 86 -32 of the Code of Ordinances be waived to allow Mrs.
Patsy Klein to complete her term which expires July 31, 2005.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
