ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FY 2002 -2003 BUDGET FOR THE
SECTION 8 RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND FAMILY SELF SUFFICIENCY
PROGRAMS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls Housing Division requests an annual
contribution from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.) for the
Section 8 housing assistance and Family Self Sufficiency programs; and
WHEREAS, The request is not received from H.U.D. prior to the time of budget
adoption; and
WHEREAS, An estimate is used at the time of budget adoption; and
WHEREAS, The Fiscal Year 2002 -2003 Budget must be amended to reflect an
increase of $265,139 between the estimate adopted in the budget and actual H.U.D.
funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Fiscal Year 2002 -2003 Budget is hereby amended to reflect an
increase of $265,139 for the operation of the Section 8 housing assistance and Family
Self Sufficiency programs.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
