ORDINANCE NO. - 3
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 106 -126 (c), (d) AND (f) OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ADJUST TREATED WATER RATES FOR
RETAIL CUSTOMERS; DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 106 -126 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended at
Subsections (c), (d) and (f), so that such subsections shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 106 -126. Retail treated water and retail raw water.
(c) The minimum monthly bill for all metered treated water service shall be as
shown below, exclusive of any water volume charge.

(d) For consumption, the rate shall be $2.05 per 100 cubic feet of water for
residential customers. Specific -use meters installed for lawn sprinklers, swimming
pools, and other non - domestic uses will be considered as "residential" for the purpose
of billing. Residential rates will apply to all water measured through these special -use
meters even though they may be located at a commercial or industrial site. For other
than residential customers, including fire hydrant meters, the rate shall be as follows:

(1) The first 1,000 cubic feet of water at $2.05 per hundred;
(2) The next 3,000 cubic feet of water at $1.89 per hundred;
(3) The next 2,800 cubic feet of water at $1.82 per hundred;
(4) The next 60,000 cubic feet of water at $1.77 per hundred;
(5) In excess of 66,800 cubic feet of water at $1.75 per hundred.
(f) The current rate structure for raw water retail customers inside the
corporate city limits is as follows:
(1) Minimum bill, $7.84 per month
(2) Volume charge per 100 cubic feet for consumption ... $0.2602
Retail treated and raw water customers outside the corporate city limits will pay
two times the above rates.
The above rates shall be effective during the first full billing cycle after October 1,
2003, and thereafter."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
