ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SEC. 82 -58 AND SEC 82 -63 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW HOWMET CORPORATION TO DRIVE
VEHICLES UPON THE GRASS AND POST SIGNS DURING THEIR
COMPANY EMPLOYEE PICNIC IN LAKE WICHITA PARK SEPTEMBER
13, 2003; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Howmet Corporation wishes to have their annual employee
picnic around the shelter in south Lake Wichita Park September 13, 2003; and
WHEREAS, in order for their event to be more successful they request
permission to drive delivery trucks upon the park grass and to post signs upon their
tents; and
WHEREAS, no problems were reported after their event last year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 82 -58 and Sec 82 -63 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
granted to allow the Howmet Corporation to drive vehicles upon the grass and post
signs during their company employee picnic in Lake Wichita Park September 13, 2003.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
