ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR ADDITIONAL GRANT REVENUE FROM THE
TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT ACCEPTING SAME; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Health District is offered additional grant funds from the Texas
Department of Health for Hepatitis C testing activities; and
WHEREAS, Hepatitis C represents a significant health risk to the citizens in our
community; and
WHEREAS, the Health District and the Texas Department of Health desire to
enter into a contract for Hepatitis C testing; and.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $3,366
for the Hepatitis C testing program, for the grant term of September 1, 2003 through
December 31, 2003, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into contract
with the Texas Department of Health accepting same.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
