ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SECTION 82 -63 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO PERMIT POSTING OF SIGNS DURING A BUDDY
WALK EVENT BY THE GREATER WICHITA FALLS DOWNS
SYNDROME NETWORK IN LUCY PARK OCTOBER 18, 2003; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Greater Wichita Falls Downs Syndrome Network wishes to host
a Buddy Walk event in Lucy Park October 18, 2003 to increase awareness of their
organization's purpose; and
WHEREAS, in order for their event to be more successful they request
permission of post signs and banners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 82 -63 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to permit
the posting of signs by the Greater Wichita Falls Downs Syndrome Network during a
Buddy Walk event in Lucy Park on October 18, 2003.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
