ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING APPROPRIATION IN THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,972 FOR THE CHILDREN'S
HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM GRANT RECEIVED FROM THE
HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE COMMISSION AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT ACCEPTING SAME;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District has received
notice of additional available funds from the Health and Human Services Commission
to continue the Children's Health Insurance Program grant activities; and
WHEREAS, the Health District desires to continue grant activities to assist CHIP
eligible families in our community; and
WHEREAS, the receipt of these additional funds could not have been
anticipated prior to passage of the 2003 - 2004 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $16,972
for the Children's Health Insurance Program grant and the City Manager is authorized
to execute contract accepting same.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
