ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING APPROPRIATION IN THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $145,347 FOR THE
PREVENTION, COUNSELING, AND PARTNER ELICITATION (PCPE)
GRANT RECEIVED FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT
ACCEPTING SAME; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received approval for additional grant
revenue from the Texas Department of Health; and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District and the
Texas Department of Health desire to enter into a contract for certain health services;
and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
adoption of the 2003 -2004 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund
$145,347 for the PCPE grant and the City Manager is authorized to enter into contract
with the Texas Department of Health for the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health
District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
