Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement
with Trinity-Hughes for Design-Build Services related to the Fleet
Maintenance Small Engine Shop Project and authorizing the payment
of up to $50,000 in Design Fees
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is in the early phase of designing a new
Small Engine Repair Shop at its Central Services Complex that will facilitate the repair
and maintenance of equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the City properly ad vertised for Design-Build
proposals for the Small Engine Shop Project and complied with all applicable
provisions under Texas Government Code; and ,
WHEREAS, the City Council and City Manager have determined that the
Design-Build method of obtaining the co mpletion of this project will provide a better
value for the City with respect to this expenditure than construction pursuant to receipt
of competitive bids
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement, in a form approved by
the City Attorney, with Trinity-Hughes for Design-Build services for the construction of
the Fleet Maintenance Small Engine Shop project, and is further authorized to pay up
to $50,000 in design fees for this project before the establishment of a Guaranteed
Maximum Price.
