RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS AWARDING BID AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE JAYCEE PARK
GRAVEL TRAIL (TPWD) PROJECT; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the Jaycee Park
Gravel Trail (TPWD) Project; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is Garcia Construction
who made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $71,973.80.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said unit price bid of Garcia Construction Company with an
estimated total of $71,973.80 is hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized to
execute a contract for the City with said contractor for the construction of such project.
SECTION 2. Anticipated salary savings in the Parks Department Budget are
authorized to be used in the amount of $11,973.80 to cover the cost in excess of the
previously authorized budget for this project.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
