RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR
ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING
CENTER; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into an Architectural Services
Contract with the firm of Secord & Lebow on August 7, 2001 for a project known as, "A
New Public Safety Training Center for the City of Wichita Falls "; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls now desires to include a Communication
Center into the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Contract Amendment No.1 hereby approved to the contract for
architectural services to the firm of Secord & Lebow.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.

CONTRACT AMENDMENT #1
This document amends AIA Document B151 -1997, entered into on April 7, 2001,
between the City of Wichita Falls and the Architect, Secord & Lebow, for a project
known as "A New Public Safety Training Center for the City of Wichita Falls."
The purpose of this amendment is to add a Communications Center into the "project"
Additionally, programming services for the Communications Center are to be added.
Article 12 is amended as follows:
Paragraph 2 is amended to read:
Basic compensation shall be computed as per Section 11.2 of this contract. In addition,
the minimum fee payable to the Architect shall be $250,000. $300,000.00 and a
maximum fee shall be limited to $300,000.00 $355,000.00 exclusive of additional
services.
Add Paragraph 4:
Additional Services for Programming Communication Center: The architect shall be
compensated with a fixed fee of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00). Programming
shall include the following: Visits to built communications centers as determined by the
City of Wichita Falls, written program, budgetary opinion of probable construction cost,
conceptual drawings and Presentation to City Council of completed program.
