RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000
FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION AND FOR THE PURCHASE OF
EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT TO ENHANCE THE
COMPOSTING PROGRAM; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has approved an application to the Nortex
Council of Governments for a grant in the amount of $20,000 on August 7, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls wishes to accept the grant for the expansion
of our Source Reduction and Recycling Yard Waste Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The referenced grant is hereby accepted in the amount of $20,000
for the purpose of enhancing our Source Reduction and Recycling Yard Waste Program
and funds are to established in the 2001 -02 budget.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
