RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH THE TEX MEX BASEBALL LEAGUE OF WICHITA
FALLS FOR A LICENSE TO EXTENDED RESERVATION PRIVILEGE
FOR THE BASEBALL FIELD IN SPUDDER AND WILLIAMS PARKS FOR
A SUMMER ADULT LEAGUE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Tex Mex Baseball League of Wichita Falls desires to conduct
another summer, adult baseball league; and
WHEREAS, the League wishes to have extended reservation privilege to use the
baseball field in Spudder and Williams Parks; and
WHEREAS, the League requests permission to drive a vehicle upon the parks to
drag the infields and mark the lines of the fields; and
WHEREAS, no problems were report from the league last year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
the Tex Mex Baseball League of Wichita Falls for a license to extended reservation
privilege for the baseball field in Spudder and Williams Parks from April 7th though
October 20, 2002 for use on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; and authorization to drive a
vehicle upon the parks to drag the infield and mark lines of the fields.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
