RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AWARDING A PROPOSAL TO VERMONT SYSTEMS,
INCORPORATED FOR A GOLF COURSE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF RELATED HARDWARE FROM THE
STATE QUALIFIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS VENDOR LIST; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the existing point of sale computer system at the Weeks Park Golf
Course needs replacement; and
WHEREAS, funds were included in the 2001 -02 budget to purchase such computer
system; and
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited from several providers of golf course point of
sale computer systems, and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by Vermont Systems, Incorporated has been
determined to be in the best interest of the City, and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the system, it is necessary to purchase some
hardware components, and the City can receive reasonable prices by purchasing this
hardware off the State's Qualified Information Systems Vendor List.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An award of proposal is hereby approved to Vermont Systems,
Incorporated for a golf course point of sale computer system in the amount of $22,970.00.
SECTION 2. Authorization is granted to purchase related hardware for the system
off the State Qualified Information System Vendor List in the amount of $9,099.68.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which
this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
