RESOLUTION AWARDING THE SEALED BID FOR EXCESS CITY -
OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED 4304 ALPINE AND CONSISTING OF A
1.893 ACRE TRACT IN THE CHEROKEE COUNTY SCHOOL
SUBDIVISION, BLOCK 4, RE -PLAT TWIN OAKS PARK AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE DEED TO CONVEY TITLE;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, one parcel of excess City -owned property has been advertised for
sale to the general public; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were opened on August 21, 2001 which were submitted
by the parties interested in purchasing said property; and
WHEREAS, the successful bidder did demonstrate a proposed use for the
property that will have a positive economic impact on the City as requested in the bid
packet and did meet the minimum bid requirement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following parcel of real property located in Wichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas has been identified as excess and has been advertised for sale
to the public by sealed bid.
4304 Alpine, Wichita Falls, Texas 76302
also known as: Block 4, Re -plat Twin Oaks Park, Cherokee County School
SECTION 2. The highest bid received for the above - described parcel was as
follows:
EMD Inc.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
